Hi twl845,
I have recently started using Vivaldi browser, and I was also looking for the option of importing bookmarks from other browsers, while almost accidentally discovered, that if you click on the red & white “V” icon that you will find on the top left corner of your browser screen, it opens up the menu.
Once you click on the menu, you need to select File > Import Data. On selecting the Import Data option, you will get the options of importing bookmarks and other features from the other browsers available in your system.
Hope this helps. (I have never tried this so far).
hi twl845, saikiranbasu,
it works, on same computer you can thus import also other items (passwords, history,..) from other browsers. if you like to import bookmarks from another computer, you have to export them first to html-file, then copy the file to usb-stick or to your cloud, and them import the file as saikirabasu discribed in vivaldi. in this case you can import just bookmarks but not other browser items.
I just tried to import bookmarks from an HTML file using the latest public release (1.1). My bookmarks file was created by OmniWeb, by the way. It has many folders and subfolders of bookmarks. However, Vivaldi only imported the contents of the first folder and called it a day.
